October 29-November 2, 2014 – Meeting of the Minds, Key West, FL

We were all saddened by the passing of Beach Front Radio's DJ Jeff, just before MOTM 2013. He was a great inspiration to us all in the Trop Rock world and we can only hope to do our best to keep the Trop Rock music alive! During Meeting of the Minds this past year, 2013, in Key West there was a special tribute for DJ Jeff during the Beach Front Radio Welcome party on Wednesday at “The Smokin' Tuna”. The place was  packed with tons of BeachFront and DJ Jeff fans. Many of the musicians were there to pay tribute to Jeff and do a few of his favorite songs of theirs. The “Trop Rock Music Showcase” was invited to the event by Jeff to record it for the show. But as it turned out it was a tribute for him. We have put together 4 episodes of the event with each performer doing at least one of their songs. The DJ Jeff tribute is be Episodes 9-12 from Season 2 are were aired  Nov. 16, 23, 30 and Dec 7. See below for the times that they can be seen. Also listen to the interview DJ Jeff did with me in 2011 when the book first came out and also just a month before MOTM in 2013.

By now most people know of Hugo Duarte's battle with cancer. Please keep him in your prayers as he goes through his chemo and radiation treatments and healing process. He is a great friend and an extremely talented singer/songwriter. Let's hope his battle is successful and he will continue to inspire and entertain us for many more years. Be strong Hugo and heal fast.

Check out the special Facebook page for Hugo where you can help contribute to the fund to help defray some of his costs or go to the BeachFront Radio web site where you can contribute to the DJ Jeff taking care of our own fund which will also be helping out Hugo.
