First, we are very happy to announce that we now have raised over
$6000 for the various
Parrot Head charities at the events since the book has been out. A
special thanks to everyone who bought the book and CDs. It is really
appreciated!
We are really excited to announce a new Trop Rock TV show called “The
Trop Rock Music Showcase”. It airs on WEYW TV 19 The Florida Keys every
Saturday at 8 PM est and again on Thursday at 7:30 PM est. The show
started on Oct 6, 2012. The first season will run for 16 weeks. The show
brings you to the events and venues where your favorite Trop Rock
singer/songwriters perform across the country. This is a grassroots TV
show, nothing fancy, just the musicians and bands doing their songs. So
be sure to tune in and see and listen to some great Trop Rock music. The
videos of them at the events are just us at the event recording the
shows. So sometimes people walk in front or it may not be perfectly
steady but we're trying to bring you some great music and it'll feel
like you're right there with them. To see the episodes that have already
aired go to the coconut icon "TV
Show".
We had a great time in Key West and it was great catching up with our

carries the book “Trop Rock Songs Stories and Tales” all year long as
well as the CDs. You can also order the book from this web site, just go
to the “Purchase”
coconut icon.
And don't forget about the book signing contest. Whoever gets the most
signatures from the singer/songwriters/producer/actor featured in the
book wins a free copy of the second book and their picture with the
first book and all the signatures and their story about how they got all
the signatures. The contest ends at MOTM 2013 and you have until Nov. 30
to send in your entry. If you get them all before the deadline and send
it in, guess what, you win!! I know there are several people out there
with a lot of signatures so keep on hunting. A couple of them may be
pretty tough to get so you have to be creative sometimes. The winner
will be announced on December 1, 2013 on this web site and facebook at
TropRock Songs.
We also have a special request for you to help us out. If you have any
video of the singer/songwriters that you feel would show well on the
show please send it to us so we can see if we will be able to put it on
the show. Email us through the “Contact”
coconut icon or email us directly at
troprocksongs@yahoo.com or
troprockmusicshowcase@yahoo.com and we'll let you know how to get it
to us.
We hope to see you at one of the events we will be attending.
Thanks, Andy.
Here are a few book reviews by the Singer/Songwriters in the book.
“Trop Rock Stories & Tales is an absolutely fascinating book into the
islands of the minds of the songwriters! This full color book gives a
fun insight into what the songwriters were actually thinking when they
wrote these entertaining island/tropical songs. Whether you are a
Parrothead, or just a lover of music, you'll love the stories & tales
shared in this book. The accompanying CD is a must to add to your
tropical music library.”
